Right now I am sort of in the middle of writing two novels, but have decided to focus on only one at a time. Thus I have been getting pretty far on the one that I am now focused on writing. It still doesn’t have a name, so without further nonsense, from chapter two here it is:
The airport terminal was crammed with people. People on vacation with their two to seven crying and annoying kids, business men in suits that could buy me a car and of course some angry fat guy yelling at the attendant at the check in counter about some mix up that he blamed the airline for. I had just gotten off of Flight 816 from Los Angelis, with a stopover in Indianapolis , and was now back on solid ground in New York. I was traveling light, in my right I carried a briefcase and with my left hand I pulled along one of those wheeled suitcase numbers, one of the wheels stuck and slid instead of rolling on the tiled terminal floor. While in the air I had downed more than a few airline size bottles of vodka and my buzz was wearing off, I scanned the terminal and saw the sign pointing in the direction of the lounge, pushing through the hoard of people I made my way there.
Yeah I know, it’s a short excerpt but one nonetheless. I plan on finishing this one up within the next year, and then work on my next one. I will periodically post more parts of the novel, or should I say work in progress, every so often. So check back soon! (:
