Weekly File: Rasterbator

02.03.09 | Posted by: k. sean pifer

This week I have a very cool program to share called Rasterbator. Rasterbator can take any image and blow it up to any size by converting the image into dots (either in color or in black and white), like the dots you see in news paper photo’s if you look really close. It then saves sections of your enlarged picture as PDF pages that you can print, align up and put them altogether to create one giant picture.

Now most of us know that you cannot enlarge a image once it is a set size without losing quality, but that is what is so great about this program, it does just that. I’ll admit up close you can see the dots but from not far away it makes pretty good enlargements for free at home without going to the print store like Kinko’s.

I suggest you give it a try, and once you do you will be creating all kinds off cool poster’s, banners, et cetera. And it’s free! So download it now.
